Front-End Lead
We are looking for a Front-end Lead to join our Front-end team working on a stable and growing Finance platform. This position is suitable for an experienced Front-end Developer who would like to take the next step into a technical/team leadership role while remaining hands-on in development.
Description
In this role you will be:
- Develop, maintain and improve multiple Front-end applications primarily using React/Next.js and Vue.js/Nuxt.js, ensuring readability, maintainability and performance.
- Work with REST APIs and WebSocket to develop and maintain real-time product features.
- Design, develop and maintain multiple Front-end applications using micro front-end architecture (Module Federation) to support scalable, independently deployable product modules.
- Apply appropriate Front-end rendering approaches such as Client-Side Rendering (CSR) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR) based on product requirements.
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure team on deployment strategies (CDN, pre-rendering/caching, build optimization) to ensure Front-end applications perform reliably under high user load.
- Work closely with Product, Backend and QA teams to clarify requirements and propose appropriate Front-end solutions.
- Support task planning, task breakdown and work allocation within the Front-end team.
- Review code and provide technical guidance to Front-end members to maintain consistent code quality.
- Establish coding standards and guardrails for AI-assisted development (e.g. AI coding assistants/agents) so output from AI tools stays reviewable and maintainable across the team.
- Support team members in solving technical issues and troubleshooting development or production problems.
- Take ownership of complex or high-priority Front-end features, contributing hands-on as needed.
- Research and suggest appropriate technologies or development practices when they can improve team productivity or product quality.
Requirements:
About You:
- 5+ years of Front-end development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with React/Next.js and Vue/Nuxt.js.
- Experience implementing pixel-accurate UI from Figma designs, using a design system/design tokens to keep styling consistent across applications.
- Experience integrating Front-end applications with REST APIs and WebSockets, building real-time applications and handling their performance challenges.
- Experience with micro front-end architecture, Module Federation, or building/maintaining multiple Front-end applications within a shared platform.
- Good understanding of Client-Side Rendering (CSR) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR).
- Experience working with Infrastructure/DevOps on Front-end deployment for high-traffic applications (e.g. CDN, pre-rendering/caching, build and asset optimization).
- Experience using Git, working with code review processes, and mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior/mid-level developers.
- Experience or good understanding of using AI coding tools in a production team setting, with the ability to set standards and guardrails so AI-assisted code stays consistent, reviewable and maintainable across the team.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to support team members in resolving technical issues.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Backend, QA and Product teams.
- Responsible, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of assigned Front-end work.
